Macrolane

From 'Mrs B' in Putney
'I opted for macrolane as I did not want any scars and I wanted the finished look to be fuller but not remotely fake looking. I am overjoyed with the end result and could even choose where I wanted fullness. I would like to say that the end result is that I now have the breasts of an eighteen year old, but the truth is that I didn't have breasts this firm and full even when I was eighteen.'

Safe and effective body sculpting is now possible with the latest ‘longer life’ injectable hyaluronic acid from the producers of Restylane to replace or boost body volume.

Angelica says: “Plastic surgeons have been waiting for a non-invasive way to improve body contours for some time. Macrolane ticks many of the empty boxes as an effective way to replace body volume losses without the need for anaesthetic. Macrolane works really well for those who seek a less invasive solution to their condition."

Uses for this new generation volume replacement:

Breasts:
Small or empty breasts – some women may have been toying with the idea of undergoing a breast augmentation (boob job) but the thought of surgery has put them off. Macrolane is the ideal solution as 100mls of product injected under local anaesthetic in Angelica’s office can effectively increase the breasts by approximately one cup size.

Angelica “Macrolane is ideal for pre-pregnancy women with A or B cups who would like to experience a larger breast size without resorting to implants or for those women whose pregnancies have left them with empty breasts, especially in the upper pole, who would like a little more volume and cleavage.”

Genetic asymmetry – sometimes nature can leave you with one breast bigger than the other; Macrolane can be the non-invasive answer.

Rippling after breast augmentation on slim patients can be disguised with Macrolane injections.

Butts:
Fancy a little of what J-Lo has?
Macrolane with subtle leg liposculpture can give you the buttocks of your dreams. Angelica emphasises buttock curves making a round pert shape with Macrolane which provides a long awaited solution to the nightmare of buttock implants that are riddled with complications such as infection and severe pain.

Dimples and dips:
Through no fault of the practitioner, Liposuction can sometimes leave unfortunate dimples or dips.  Macrolane smoothes out the skin contour leaving no tell tale lipo signature.

Benefits of Macrolane

Draw backs of Macrolane Practitioners of Macrolane are qualified plastic surgeons and need to receive full training by Q Med before they can administer the product.

Angelica has a certificate in Macrolane administration and can be seen using it on

MACROLANE™
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Macrolane™?
Macrolane - the first body shaping treatment using hyaluronic acid. It is based on QMed's unique patented NASHA™ technology (Stabilized Non-Animal Hyaluronic Acid) which has been used in over 9 million treatments in over 70 countries worldwide. Use of NASHA has been clinically proven and well documented in facial aesthetics for over 10 years.

Is Macrolane safe?
Macrolane consists of Hyaluronic acid which already exists within your body and thus is not recognized as a foreign substance. Infection and allergy are rare. Extensive trials over since 2002 have  shown no long term serious issues. Macrolane has recently been granted full European approvel for use on the body (CE marked).

What is NASHA™?
Stabilized, Non-Animal Hyaluronic acid (NASHA) is unique to Q-Med, manufacturers of Macrolane. Naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA) undergoes a process where less than one percent is stabilized to form a permanent three-dimensional HA network without damaging the original chemical structure. This stabilization process produces a biologically degradable NASHA gel that carries minimal risk of allergic reaction and enables a longer durability.

What are the treatment indications for Macrolane?
Macrolane is an innovative product currently indicated for volume restoration and shaping of body surfaces, for example, breasts, calves and buttocks. Macrolane can also even out discrepancies in the skin surface, for example, those caused by liposuction and surgical scars.

Can Macrolane be used for facial aesthetic treatments?
No, Macrolane is a specifically formulated NASHA gel that gives increased volume and should only be used for volume restoration and shaping of body surfaces.

How is the Macrolane treatment performed?
The procedure can be carried out in a clean environment similar to minor surgery and performed under local anaesthetic.

How long does Macrolane last?
Macrolane is intended to last for 12-18 months. Each individual treatment programme will include a yearly top-up as required to maintain optimal treatment results.

Will it affect my mammogram results?
Macrolane will not affect any mammogram results although it’s good practice to tell the technician you have had the treatment prior to testing.

How can I find a Macrolane expert?
Only physicians whom have undergone specific Macrolane training, provided by Q-Med, can use Macrolane. It is important that you ask to see their training certificate to check that the physician is able to carry out your treatment.
